John David Lackey - Partner

John David joined the firm in 2010, and focuses his practice on the litigation of medical malpractice suits, commercial disputes, construction actions, and the defense of employment discrimination claims.  John David also provides representation to clients defending civil rights complaints, white collar criminal defense prosecutions, and a multitude of other insurance related matters.

Representing clients from diverse backgrounds, John David regularly practices in both State and Federal courts throughout the State of Oklahoma, including appellate work at all levels.  John David is admitted to practice in the State of Oklahoma, all three Oklahoma Federal Districts, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, John David also received a history degree from the University of Oklahoma.  Prior to graduation, John David enlisted in the United States Army, serving as an infantry soldier with the 16th Infantry Regiment (Semper Paratus) as part of the 1st Infantry Division based out of Fort Riley, Kansas.

Co-author of the book The ABC’s of the UCC: Related and Supplementary Consumer Law with Fred Miller, John David stays active professionally by serving as an at large member of the NCAA Committee on Infractions for Division Two schools.  John David has been given an AV Preeminent rating by his peers through Martindale Hubbell, and is an active member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
